Consulate hours for the public
The Consulate is open Monday to Friday from
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (excluding public holidays.)
ISSUE OF VISA
Visa applications will be attended to on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.00 a.m. to
1.00 p.m. The following documents should be forwarded
with the Visa application.
- Valid Passport
- If the visit is sponsored, a letter from the
sponsoring party. If the visit is private,
a police certificate from the sponsor's area
of residence in Hungary should be forwarded.
- In the absence of a sponsor, proof of financing
during the stay in Hungary, if staying in
a hotel, confirmed hotel reservation addressed
direct to the Consulate by the hotel giving
the name and passport number of the applicant.
- Return air ticket and/or other travel documents.
- Two (2) passport size copies of a recent photograph
of the applicant signed on the reverse by
the applicant.
- Health insurance for the duration of stay from
a local Insurance Company.
- Consulate may request for any other documents
if necessary.
- Application should be made at least 14 working
days before the proposed date of visit.
- If employed, a letter from the employer authorising
leave for the duration of absence.
