Lanka is well-liked by the most seasoned fishermen due to its abundance
in sub-aquatic life. The island is fortunate to have a perfect coast
line as well as numerous reservoirs and lakes for any degree of fishermen
to attempt to get that perfect catch.
The kinds of fish available are too many to list but include Sail
Fish, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Giant Trevallie, Benito, Queen Fish,
Barracuda, Grouper, Cobia, Tuna. Fishing in Sri Lanka for the Western
and South Eastern Coast is from August to May when the seas are calm.
You have the option of fishing from the beach itself or venture out
to sea in an in-built or out-board fiber-glass motor boat to try your
hand at troll fishing. Safety equipment as well as Fishing Rods, Artificial
lures and/or live bait along with other necessary equipment will be
provided.
